Experience & Qualifications

There are a number of key skills and abilities that are held in high regard by employers seeking staff in the insurance industry. Also, previous experience in the designated area is usually a must. Some of the most popular criteria include:

  • Tier 1 or 2 compliance depending on nature of role
  • Diploma in Financial Services often preferred but not essential
  • Qualification in Banking & Finance related discipline
  • The minimum level of previous experience in the area
  • A high degree of computer literacy including proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Corporate and professional presentation and communication skills
  • A positive "can do" attitude
  • A demonstrated level of initiative
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving ability
